Chapchar Kut Festival

The Chapchar Kut is one more important festival which is observed in the month of March, following the conclusion of their most difficult job of Jhum maneuver, that is, forest-cleaning.

The State celebrates the festival of Thalfavang Kut every November. This festival is celebrated in connection with the completion of weeding the land in preparation of the forthcoming harvest.
