Idalcao Palace
Idalcao’s Palace was built in 1500 by Yusuf Adil Shah as a riverside pleasure. The Palace has undergone many modifications since it was built 500 years ago.
This palace later became the strategic point of defense for the Portuguese. They added the palace to their artillery strength and the palace also became the first custom port of the foreign ships which came with the cargo. This Idalcao Palace was the officiel residence of most of the Portuguese Viceroys who used to stay here before they left on the return voyage to portugal.
